El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 6, Página 14
Daisy
and
Gatsby
danced.
I
was
surprised
by
his
nice
dance.
I
had
never
seen
him
dance
before.
Then
they
went
to
my
house
and
sat
on
the
steps
for
a
while.
I
stayed
in
the
garden.
“In
case
there’s
a
fire
or
a
flood,”
she
said,
“or
something
else.”
Tom
came
back
as
we
sat
down
to
eat.
“Do
you
mind
if
I
eat
with
some
people
here?”
he
said.
“A
guy
is
telling
funny
stories.”
“Go
ahead,”
said
Daisy
happily,
“and
if
you
want
to
write
down
any
addresses,
here’s
my
gold
pencil.”
She
looked
around
and
told
me
the
girl
was
“common
but
pretty.”
I
knew
she
wasn’t
having
a
good
time
except
with
Gatsby.
We
were
at
a
table
with
drunk
people.
That
was
my
fault—Gatsby
was
on
the
phone,
and
I
liked
these
people
two
weeks
ago.
But
now
it
was
not
fun.
“How
do
you
feel,
Miss
Baedeker?”
The
girl
tried
to
lean
on
my
shoulder.
She
sat
up
and
opened
her
eyes.
