El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 8, Página 1
I
could
not
sleep
all
night.
A
foghorn
made
noise
on
the
water.
I
had
bad
dreams.
Early
in
the
morning,
I
heard
a
taxi
at
Gatsby’s
house.
I
got
out
of
bed.
I
dressed
quickly.
I
needed
to
tell
him
something
important.
Morning
was
too
late.
I
walked
to
his
house.
The
door
was
open.
He
leaned
on
a
table.
He
looked
sad
or
maybe
tired.
“Nothing
happened,”
he
said.
“I
waited.
At
four
o’clock,
she
came
to
the
window.
She
stood
there
for
a
minute.
Then
she
turned
off
the
light.”
His
house
felt
very
big
that
night.
We
looked
for
cigarettes
in
the
rooms.
We
moved
big
curtains
and
touched
the
walls
for
the
light
switches.
I
fell
on
a
piano.
It
made
a
loud
sound.
There
was
dust
everywhere.
The
rooms
smelled
old.
I
found
a
box
with
two
cigarettes.
We
opened
the
windows
and
smoked.
“You
should
go
away,”
I
said.
“They
will
find
your
car.”
“Go
away
now?”
