El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 2, Página 5
“It’s
good
for
her
to
get
away.”
“Doesn’t
her
husband
mind?”
“Wilson?
He
thinks
she
visits
her
sister
in
New
York.
He’s
so
dumb
he
doesn’t
know
he’s
alive.”
So
Tom,
his
girl,
and
I
went
to
New
York
together.
Well,
not
exactly
together,
because
Mrs.
Wilson
sat
in
another
car.
Tom
respected
the
feelings
of
people
from
East
Egg
who
might
be
on
the
train.
She
changed
into
a
brown
dress
with
a
pattern.
It
was
tight
over
her
wide
hips.
Tom
helped
her
to
the
platform
in
New
York.
At
the
newsstand,
she
bought
a
magazine
and
some
perfume.
In
the
station,
she
let
four
taxis
go
by
before
picking
a
lavender
one.
We
left
the
station
and
went
into
the
sunshine.
But
then
she
turned
and
tapped
on
the
front
glass.
“I
want
to
get
one
of
those
dogs,”
she
said
seriously.
“I
want
one
for
the
apartment.
They’re
nice
to
have—a
dog.”
