El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 5, Página 11
“I
certainly
am
very
glad
to
see
you
again.”
A
pause;
it
felt
terribly
long.
I
had
nothing
to
do
in
the
hall,
so
I
went
into
the
room.
Gatsby
stood
by
the
fireplace
with
his
hands
in
his
pockets.
He
tried
to
look
calm,
but
he
seemed
bored.
His
head
leaned
back
against
an
old
clock.
His
eyes
looked
at
Daisy,
who
sat
on
a
chair.
She
looked
scared
but
still
graceful.
"We’ve
met
before,"
said
Gatsby
quietly.
He
looked
at
me
for
a
moment
and
tried
to
smile.
The
clock
moved
under
his
head,
so
he
caught
it
quickly
with
shaking
hands
and
put
it
back.
Then
he
sat
down
on
the
sofa,
resting
his
chin
on
his
hand.
"I’m
sorry
about
the
clock,"
he
said.
My
face
felt
very
hot.
I
couldn’t
think
of
anything
normal
to
say.
