El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 5, Página 15
I
walked
out
the
back
way,
just
like
Gatsby
did
earlier.
I
ran
to
a
big
tree
with
many
leaves.
It
was
raining
hard
again,
and
the
garden
was
muddy.
I
looked
at
Gatsby’s
big
house
for
half
an
hour.
A
man
built
it
years
ago,
but
his
family
sold
it
later.
Americans
like
to
be
free
and
don’t
want
to
be
peasants.
After
a
while,
the
sun
came
out.
A
car
brought
food
for
Gatsby’s
servants.
I
didn’t
think
he
would
eat
any
of
it.
A
maid
opened
the
windows
and
spat
into
the
garden.
I
thought
it
was
time
to
go
back.
The
rain
had
sounded
like
their
voices,
but
now
it
was
quiet.
I
went
inside,
making
noise
in
the
kitchen,
but
they
didn’t
hear
me.
They
sat
on
the
couch,
looking
at
each
other.
Daisy’s
face
was
wet
with
tears,
and
she
wiped
it
with
a
handkerchief.
Gatsby
looked
very
happy
now.
He
seemed
to
glow,
and
the
room
felt
full
of
new
energy.
"Oh,
hello,
old
sport,"
he
said,
like
he
hadn’t
seen
me
in
years.
I
thought
he
might
shake
my
hand.
"It’s
stopped
raining."
"Has
it?"
he
asked.
Then
he
saw
the
sunlight
and
smiled.
"What
do
you
think
of
that?
It’s
stopped
raining."
