El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 5, Página 6
“Don’t
bring
Tom.”
“Who
is
‘Tom’?”
she
asked
innocently.
The
day
we
chose
was
rainy.
At
eleven,
a
man
in
a
raincoat,
with
a
lawn-mower,
knocked
at
my
door
and
said
Mr.
Gatsby
sent
him
to
cut
my
grass.
This
reminded
me
I
forgot
to
tell
my
Finn
to
come
back,
so
I
drove
to
West
Egg
Village
to
find
her
and
to
buy
some
cups,
lemons,
and
flowers.
The
flowers
weren’t
needed,
because
at
two
o’clock
a
greenhouse
arrived
from
Gatsby’s,
with
many
containers.
An
hour
later,
the
front
door
opened
nervously,
and
Gatsby
in
a
white
flannel
suit,
silver
shirt,
and
gold
tie,
hurried
in.
He
was
pale,
with
dark
signs
of
no
sleep
under
his
eyes.
“Is
everything
all
right?”
he
asked
quickly.
“The
grass
looks
fine,
if
that’s
what
you
mean.”
