El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 7, Página 33
“They
brought
him
to
my
house,”
added
Jordan,
“because
we
lived
near
the
church.
He
stayed
three
weeks
until
Daddy
told
him
to
leave.
The
day
after
he
left,
Daddy
died.”
She
paused
and
added,
“There
wasn’t
any
connection.”
“I
knew
a
Bill
Biloxi
from
Memphis,”
I
said.
“That
was
his
cousin.
I
knew
his
family
history
before
he
left.
He
gave
me
a
putter
I
use
today.”
The
music
stopped
as
the
ceremony
began.
Then
cheers
came
through
the
window,
followed
by
cries
of
“Yea—ea—ea!”
and
then
jazz
music
as
dancing
began.
“We’re
getting
old,”
said
Daisy.
“If
we
were
young,
we’d
dance.”
“Remember
Biloxi,”
Jordan
warned
her.
“Where
did
you
know
him,
Tom?”
