El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 7, Página 54
He
slowed
down
but
didn’t
plan
to
stop
until,
as
we
got
closer,
the
serious
faces
at
the
garage
door
made
him
put
on
the
brakes.
"We’ll
take
a
look,"
he
said
doubtfully,
"just
a
look."
I
heard
a
hollow,
wailing
sound
from
the
garage,
a
sound
that,
as
we
got
out
of
the
car
and
walked
to
the
door,
became
the
words
"Oh,
my
God!"
repeated
over
and
over
in
a
moan.
"There’s
some
bad
trouble
here,"
said
Tom
excitedly.
He
stood
on
tiptoes
and
looked
over
the
heads
into
the
garage,
lit
by
a
yellow
light
in
a
swinging
basket.
Then
he
made
a
harsh
sound
in
his
throat,
and
with
a
strong
push,
he
forced
his
way
through.
The
circle
closed
again
with
a
murmur
of
protest;
it
was
a
minute
before
I
could
see
anything.
Then
new
people
moved
the
line,
and
Jordan
and
I
were
pushed
inside.
