El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 3, Página 6
We
all
felt
a
thrill.
The
three
Mr.
Mumbles
leaned
in,
listening
eagerly.
"I
don't
think
that's
it,"
said
Lucille
skeptically.
"I
heard
he
was
a
German
spy
during
the
war."
One
of
the
men
nodded
to
confirm
this.
"I
heard
that
from
a
man
who
knew
him
well,
grew
up
with
him
in
Germany,"
he
assured
us
confidently.
"Oh
no,"
said
the
first
girl,
"that
can't
be
right
because
he
was
in
the
American
army
during
the
war."
As
we
shifted
our
belief
back
to
her,
she
leaned
forward
excitedly.
"Sometimes
you
look
at
him
when
he
thinks
no
one
is
watching.
I
bet
he
killed
a
man."
She
narrowed
her
eyes
and
shivered.
Lucille
shivered
too.
We
all
turned
to
look
for
Gatsby.
It
was
proof
of
the
romantic
rumors
he
inspired,
as
there
was
little
else
people
found
necessary
to
whisper
about
in
this
world.
