El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 1, Página 11
"Gatsby?"
Daisy
asked.
"What
Gatsby?"
Before
I
could
say
he
was
my
neighbor,
dinner
was
announced.
Tom
Buchanan,
with
a
firm
grip
on
my
arm,
led
me
from
the
room
like
moving
a
checker
to
another
square.
Gracefully,
with
their
hands
on
their
hips,
the
two
young
women
led
us
onto
a
rosy
porch,
open
to
the
sunset,
where
four
candles
flickered
on
the
table
in
the
gentle
breeze.
"Why
candles?"
Daisy
objected,
frowning.
She
extinguished
them
with
her
fingers.
"In
two
weeks,
it'll
be
the
longest
day
of
the
year."
She
beamed
at
us.
"Do
you
always
look
forward
to
it
and
then
miss
it?
I
always
do."
"We
should
plan
something,"
Miss
Baker
yawned,
sitting
at
the
table
like
she
was
getting
into
bed.
"All
right,"
Daisy
said.
"What
should
we
plan?"
She
turned
to
me
helplessly,
"What
do
people
plan?"
