El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 12, Página 6
A
loud
buzzing
was
heard.
Black
bees
came
to
her.
"Go
to
the
strangers
and
sting
them!"
said
the
Witch.
The
bees
flew
to
Dorothy
and
her
friends.
The
Woodman
saw
them
coming.
The
Scarecrow
had
a
plan.
"Take
my
straw,"
he
said
to
the
Woodman.
"Cover
the
girl,
the
dog,
and
the
Lion.
The
bees
cannot
sting
them."
The
Woodman
did
it.
Dorothy
lay
close
to
the
Lion
and
held
Toto.
The
straw
covered
them.
The
bees
found
only
the
Woodman
to
sting.
They
broke
their
stings
on
the
tin.
The
Woodman
was
not
hurt.
The
bees
died,
and
lay
like
little
heaps
of
coal.
Dorothy
and
the
Lion
got
up.
The
girl
helped
the
Woodman
put
the
straw
back
in
the
Scarecrow.
He
was
good
as
new.
They
started
walking
again.
The
Wicked
Witch
was
very
angry.
She
saw
her
bees
dead.
She
stamped
her
foot
and
tore
her
hair.
She
called
her
slaves,
the
Winkies.
She
gave
them
sharp
spears.
"Go
to
the
strangers
and
destroy
them,"
she
said.
