woke
up

shock.

bed

soft,

she

hurt.
She

up

house

moving.

window.
Toto,
her
dog,
put
his
nose
on
her
face
and
whined.
Dorothy
got
out
of
bed
and
ran

open
the
door
with
Toto.
Dorothy
saw
outside
and
was

surprised.
Her
eyes
got
big.
Everything
looked
wonderful.
The
cyclone
put
the
house
down
gently.
The
land
was
very
beautiful.
There
was
green
grass
and
big
trees
with
fruit.
There
were
many
flowers
everywhere.
Birds
with
bright
feathers
sang
in
the
trees.
Not
far,
there
was
a
small
river.
It
made
a
happy
sound.
Dorothy,
who
lived
on
dry
land
before,
liked
it.
Dorothy
saw
some
people
coming.
They
looked
very
strange.
They
were
not
as
tall
as
adults
but
not
small.
They
were
as
tall
as
Dorothy.
Dorothy
was
a
big
child
for
her
age,
but
these
people
looked
older.
There
were
three
men
and
one
woman.
They
wore
funny
clothes.
Their
hats
were
round
and
had
a
point.
The
hats
had
little
bells.
The
men's
hats
were
blue.
The
woman's
hat
was
white.
She
wore
a
white
dress
with
stars.
The
men's
clothes
were
blue,
like
their
hats.
They
wore
shiny
boots.
Dorothy
thought
the
men
were
as
old
as
Uncle
Henry.
Two
had
beards.
The
woman
looked
much
older.
She
had
wrinkles
and
white
hair.
The
people
stopped
near
the
house.
They
whispered.
They
seemed
scared.
The
little
woman
walked
to
Dorothy.
She
bowed
and
said
in
a
sweet
voice:
