dark.

resting,

walked

road.

again.

they

Kalidahs
lived
there.

are
Kalidahs?”
asked
Dorothy.
“They
are
big
beasts,”
said
the
Lion.
“They
have
bear
bodies
and
tiger
heads.
Their
claws
are
sharp.
I
am
very
scared
of
them.”
“I’m
not
surprised,”
said
Dorothy.
“They
must
be
scary.”
The
Lion
was
about
to
say
more.
Then
they
saw
another
big
ditch.
This
one
was
too
wide
to
jump.
They
sat
down
to
think.
