El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 9, Página 1
"We
are
close
to
the
yellow
brick
road
now,"
said
the
Scarecrow.
He
stood
next
to
the
girl.
"We
have
come
far
since
the
river."
The
Tin
Woodman
heard
a
growl.
He
turned
his
head
and
saw
a
big
yellow
Wildcat.
It
ran
on
the
grass
toward
them.
The
Wildcat
chased
a
small
gray
mouse.
The
Woodman
thought
it
was
wrong.
The
Wildcat
wanted
to
hurt
the
pretty
mouse.
The
Woodman
lifted
his
axe.
The
Wildcat
ran
by,
and
he
hit
it.
The
Wildcat's
head
fell
off,
and
it
lay
in
two
pieces.
The
mouse
stopped
and
walked
to
the
Woodman.
It
said
in
a
small
voice:
"Thank
you!
Thank
you
for
saving
me."
"Do
not
worry,"
said
the
Woodman.
"I
have
no
heart.
I
help
anyone
who
needs
a
friend,
even
a
mouse."
