El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 12, Página 4
He
grabbed
his
axe,
which
was
very
sharp.
The
leader
of
the
wolves
came,
and
the
Tin
Woodman
swung
his
arm.
He
chopped
the
wolf’s
head
off,
and
it
died.
Another
wolf
came,
and
he
also
fell
under
the
Woodman’s
axe.
There
were
forty
wolves,
and
forty
times
a
wolf
was
killed.
They
all
lay
dead
in
a
heap
before
the
Woodman.
Then
he
put
down
his
axe
and
sat
with
the
Scarecrow.
“It
was
a
good
fight,
friend,”
said
the
Scarecrow.
They
waited
until
Dorothy
woke
the
next
morning.
She
was
scared
when
she
saw
the
pile
of
wolves.
But
the
Tin
Woodman
told
her
everything.
She
thanked
him
for
saving
them.
They
ate
breakfast
and
started
their
journey
again.
That
same
morning,
the
Wicked
Witch
looked
out
from
her
castle
door.
She
saw
all
her
wolves
dead
and
the
strangers
still
traveling.
She
was
angrier
than
before
and
blew
her
silver
whistle
twice.
A
great
flock
of
wild
crows
flew
toward
her,
enough
to
darken
the
sky.
The
Wicked
Witch
said
to
the
King
Crow,
“Fly
to
the
strangers;
peck
out
their
eyes
and
tear
them
to
pieces.”
