El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 19, Página 4
"Let
me
try
it
first,"
said
the
Scarecrow.
"It
doesn't
hurt
me
to
be
thrown."
He
walked
to
another
tree,
but
its
branches
grabbed
him
and
tossed
him
back
again.
"This
is
strange,"
said
Dorothy.
"What
shall
we
do?"
"The
trees
want
to
fight
us
and
stop
our
journey,"
said
the
Lion.
"I
will
try,"
said
the
Woodman.
He
took
his
axe
and
went
to
the
first
tree
that
grabbed
the
Scarecrow.
When
a
branch
bent
down
to
grab
him,
he
chopped
it.
The
tree
shook
all
its
branches
as
if
in
pain,
and
the
Tin
Woodman
passed
safely
under
it.
"Come
on!"
he
shouted.
"Be
quick!"
They
all
ran
forward
and
passed
under
the
tree
without
getting
hurt,
except
Toto.
A
small
branch
caught
him
and
shook
him
until
he
howled.
But
the
Woodman
chopped
off
the
branch
and
freed
the
little
dog.
The
other
trees
did
not
stop
them.
They
thought
only
the
first
row
of
trees
could
bend
their
branches.
Maybe
these
trees
were
like
police
to
keep
strangers
out.
