El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 2, Página 1
Dorothy
woke
up
with
a
big
shock.
If
she
had
not
been
on
a
soft
bed,
she
might
have
been
hurt.
Toto,
her
dog,
put
his
nose
on
her
face
and
whined.
Dorothy
sat
up
and
saw
the
house
was
not
moving.
It
was
bright
because
the
sun
shone
through
the
window.
She
jumped
out
of
bed,
and
with
Toto,
she
ran
to
open
the
door.
Dorothy
cried
out
in
surprise.
Her
eyes
got
bigger
and
bigger
at
the
amazing
sights
around
her.
The
cyclone
had
put
the
house
down
gently
in
a
beautiful
country.
There
were
green
grass
and
big
trees
with
delicious
fruits.
Flowers
grew
everywhere,
and
colorful
birds
sang
in
the
trees.
Not
far
away,
a
small
brook
sparkled
as
it
flowed.
It
made
a
sound
that
was
nice
to
hear
after
living
on
the
dry
prairies.
As
she
looked
at
everything,
she
saw
some
strange
people
coming
toward
her.
They
were
not
as
tall
as
adults
but
not
very
small
either.
They
were
about
as
tall
as
Dorothy,
who
was
a
big
child
for
her
age,
although
they
looked
much
older.
There
were
three
men
and
one
woman,
and
they
wore
funny
clothes.
Their
hats
were
round
and
had
a
point
with
bells
that
tinkled.
The
men's
hats
were
blue,
and
the
woman's
hat
was
white.
Her
dress
was
white
with
little
stars
that
shone
like
diamonds.
The
men
wore
blue
clothes
and
nice
boots.
Dorothy
thought
the
men
were
old,
like
Uncle
Henry,
because
two
had
beards.
The
woman
looked
much
older
with
wrinkles
and
white
hair.
When
they
got
near
the
house,
they
stopped
and
whispered,
looking
afraid.
But
the
little
old
woman
came
to
Dorothy,
bowed,
and
said
in
a
sweet
voice:
