El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 21, Página 4
“Over
there,
among
the
oak
trees,”
said
the
tiger,
pointing
with
his
paw.
“Take
care
of
my
friends,”
said
the
Lion,
“and
I
will
go
fight
the
monster.”
He
said
goodbye
to
his
friends
and
walked
proudly
to
battle
the
enemy.
The
great
spider
was
asleep
when
the
Lion
found
it.
It
looked
very
ugly,
and
the
Lion
turned
up
his
nose.
Its
legs
were
as
long
as
the
tiger
said,
and
its
body
was
covered
with
black
hair.
It
had
a
big
mouth
with
sharp
teeth
a
foot
long.
But
its
head
was
joined
to
the
body
by
a
thin
neck.
This
gave
the
Lion
an
idea.
It
was
easier
to
fight
it
asleep
than
awake,
so
he
jumped
on
the
monster's
back.
With
one
blow
of
his
paw,
he
knocked
the
spider’s
head
off.
He
jumped
down
and
watched
until
the
legs
stopped
moving.
Then
he
knew
it
was
dead.
The
Lion
went
back
to
the
animals
waiting
for
him
and
said
proudly:
“You
do
not
need
to
fear
your
enemy
anymore.”
