El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 22, Página 4
“It
shall
be
done,”
said
the
King.
The
Winged
Monkeys
picked
up
the
travelers
and
Toto.
They
flew
over
the
hill
as
the
Hammer-Heads
yelled,
but
they
couldn’t
reach
them.
The
Monkeys
set
them
down
in
the
Quadlings’
beautiful
country.
“This
is
the
last
time
we
can
help
you,”
said
the
leader
to
Dorothy.
“Good-bye
and
good
luck.”
“Good-bye,
and
thank
you
very
much,”
said
Dorothy.
The
Monkeys
flew
away
and
disappeared
quickly.
The
Quadlings’
country
looked
rich
and
happy.
There
were
fields
of
grain
and
good
roads.
Pretty
brooks
had
strong
bridges.
Everything
was
painted
bright
red.
The
Quadlings
were
short,
fat,
and
wore
red
clothes.
The
Monkeys
left
them
near
a
farmhouse.
The
travelers
walked
to
it
and
knocked
on
the
door.
The
farmer’s
wife
opened
it,
and
Dorothy
asked
for
food.
The
woman
gave
them
a
good
dinner
with
cake,
cookies,
and
milk
for
Toto.
“How
far
is
it
to
Glinda’s
Castle?”
asked
Dorothy.
