El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 8, Página 6
“If
he
wasn’t
so
big
and
heavy,
I
would
get
him
for
you,”
said
the
Stork.
“He
isn’t
heavy,”
said
Dorothy
eagerly,
“because
he
is
stuffed
with
straw.
If
you
bring
him
back
to
us,
we
will
thank
you
very
much.”
“Well,
I’ll
try,”
said
the
Stork,
“but
if
he
is
too
heavy,
I
will
have
to
drop
him
in
the
river
again.”
The
big
bird
flew
into
the
air
and
over
the
water
until
she
came
to
the
Scarecrow
on
his
pole.
The
Stork
grabbed
the
Scarecrow
by
the
arm
with
her
great
claws
and
carried
him
back
to
the
bank
where
Dorothy,
the
Lion,
the
Tin
Woodman,
and
Toto
were
sitting.
When
the
Scarecrow
was
with
his
friends
again,
he
was
so
happy
that
he
hugged
them
all,
even
the
Lion
and
Toto.
As
they
walked
along,
he
sang
“Tol-de-ri-de-oh!”
with
every
step
because
he
felt
so
joyful.
“I
was
afraid
I
would
have
to
stay
in
the
river
forever,”
he
said,
“but
the
kind
Stork
saved
me.
If
I
ever
get
any
brains,
I
will
find
the
Stork
again
and
do
her
a
kindness
in
return.”
