El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 11, Página 12
"Oz
has
sent
for
you.
Follow
me."
So
the
Tin
Woodman
followed
him
to
the
great
Throne
Room.
He
didn't
know
if
he
would
find
Oz
as
a
lovely
Lady
or
a
Head,
but
he
hoped
for
the
lovely
Lady.
"For,"
he
thought,
"if
it
is
the
Head,
I
won't
get
a
heart,
since
a
head
has
no
heart
and
can't
feel
for
me.
But
if
it's
the
lovely
Lady,
I
will
beg
hard
for
a
heart,
because
all
ladies
are
said
to
be
kind-hearted."
But
when
the
Woodman
entered
the
Throne
Room,
he
saw
neither
the
Head
nor
the
Lady.
Oz
had
become
a
terrible
Beast.
It
was
nearly
as
big
as
an
elephant,
and
the
green
throne
seemed
barely
strong
enough
to
hold
it.
The
Beast
had
a
head
like
a
rhinoceros,
but
there
were
five
eyes
on
its
face.
It
had
five
long
arms
and
five
long,
thin
legs.
Thick,
woolly
hair
covered
it,
making
it
a
dreadful-looking
monster.
Luckily,
the
Tin
Woodman
had
no
heart,
for
it
would
have
beat
loudly
from
fear.
But
being
only
tin,
he
wasn't
afraid,
though
he
was
disappointed.
"I
am
Oz,
the
Great
and
Terrible,"
spoke
the
Beast,
in
a
voice
like
a
roar.
"Who
are
you,
and
why
do
you
seek
me?"
"I
am
a
Woodman,
made
of
tin.
So,
I
have
no
heart
and
can't
love.
I
ask
you
to
give
me
a
heart
so
I
can
be
like
other
men."
"Why
should
I
do
this?"
demanded
the
Beast.
