El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 13, Página 5
"And
I
will
get
back
to
Kansas,"
cried
Dorothy,
clapping
her
hands.
"Oh,
let's
start
for
the
Emerald
City
tomorrow!"
They
decided
to
do
this.
The
next
day,
they
gathered
the
Winkies
and
said
goodbye.
The
Winkies
were
sad
to
see
them
go
and
had
grown
so
fond
of
the
Tin
Woodman
that
they
asked
him
to
stay
and
rule
over
them
and
the
Yellow
Land
of
the
West.
When
they
saw
the
travelers
were
determined
to
leave,
the
Winkies
gave
Toto
and
the
Lion
each
a
golden
collar.
They
gave
Dorothy
a
beautiful
bracelet
with
diamonds,
and
to
the
Scarecrow,
they
gave
a
gold-headed
walking
stick
to
help
him
avoid
stumbling.
For
the
Tin
Woodman,
they
offered
a
silver
oil-can
inlaid
with
gold
and
set
with
jewels.
Each
traveler
made
a
nice
speech
to
the
Winkies
in
return,
and
they
all
shook
hands
until
their
arms
ached.
Dorothy
went
to
the
Witch's
cupboard
to
fill
her
basket
with
food
for
the
journey,
and
there
she
saw
the
Golden
Cap.
She
tried
it
on
and
found
it
fit
her
perfectly.
She
didn't
know
about
the
charm
of
the
Golden
Cap,
but
she
thought
it
was
pretty,
so
she
decided
to
wear
it
and
carry
her
sunbonnet
in
the
basket.
Then,
ready
for
the
journey,
they
all
started
for
the
Emerald
City.
The
Winkies
gave
them
three
cheers
and
many
good
wishes
to
take
with
them.
