El Maravilloso Mago de Oz
Capítulo 18, Página 4
But
the
Monkey
King
shook
his
head.
"That
can't
be
done,"
he
said.
"We
belong
to
this
country
and
can't
leave
it.
There
has
never
been
a
Winged
Monkey
in
Kansas,
and
I
suppose
there
never
will
be.
We
will
gladly
help
you
in
any
way
we
can,
but
we
can't
cross
the
desert.
Goodbye."
With
another
bow,
the
Monkey
King
spread
his
wings
and
flew
away
through
the
window,
followed
by
all
his
band.
Dorothy
was
about
to
cry
with
disappointment.
"I
wasted
the
charm
of
the
Golden
Cap
for
nothing,"
she
said,
"because
the
Winged
Monkeys
can't
help
me."
"That's
really
too
bad!"
said
the
kind-hearted
Woodman.
The
Scarecrow
was
thinking
again,
and
his
head
bulged
out
so
much
that
Dorothy
feared
it
might
burst.
