he
couldn't.

sat
at

dinner
table
with
his
family,
staring
at
his
plate.
He
tried
to
laugh
at
his
dad's
jokes
but
they
just
weren't
funny.
He
walked
to
work
with
no
headphones.
No
videos.
Just
footsteps.
The
silence
wasn't
peaceful
—
it
was
painful.
He
didn't
even
feel
bored.
He
felt
blank.
Like
someone
had
turned
off
a
switch
in
his
head.
And
without
his
phone,
there
was
no
way
to
turn
it
back
on.
