IV.
THE
CONTRACT.
I
gave
myself
to
him,
And
he
gave
himself
to
me.
This
is
our
promise,
Made
this
way.
The
wealth
may
not
be
much,
I
may
be
less
Than
he
thinks,
But
love
is
ours
The
dream
may
fade;
But
until
he
buys,
The
stories
stay,
The
sweet
things
lie.
At
least,
we
both
risk,
—
Some
find
it
good;
Sweet
debt
of
Life,
—
To
owe
each
day.
