XX.
OLD-FASHIONED.
Arcturus
is
his
name,
—
I'd
rather
call
him
star!
It's
so
unkind
of
science
To
say
this!
I
pull
a
flower
from
woods,
—
A
man
with
a
glass
Counts
the
parts,
And
puts
her
in
a
class.
Whereas
I
took
the
butterfly
Before
in
my
hat,
He
sits
in
cabinets,
The
flowers
forgot.
What
once
was
heaven,
is
zenith
now.
Where
I
wanted
to
go
When
time
was
done,
Is
mapped,
and
charted
too!
What
if
the
poles
should
move
And
stand
on
heads!
I
hope
I
'm
ready,
Whatever
comes!
Maybe
the
kingdom
of
Heaven
's
changed!
I
hope
the
children
there
Won't
be
new
when
I
come,
And
laugh
at
me!
I
hope
the
father
in
the
skies
Will
lift
his
little
girl,
—
Old-fashioned,
naughty,
everything,
—
Over
the
pearl!
