Colección 6, Poema 4
IV.
DAY'S
PARLOR.
The
day
came
slow,
till
five,
Then
jumped
over
hills
Like
red
jewels,
or
light
From
a
gun.
The
purple
could
not
stay
east,
The
sunrise
shook,
Like
yellow
gems,
The
lady
opened.
The
happy
winds
played;
The
birds
in
rows,
Stood
by
their
prince
(The
wind
is
prince).
The
orchard
shone
like
a
jewel,
—
How
strong
it
was,
to
stay
A
guest
in
this
big
place,
The
parlor
of
the
day!
