V.
THE
SUN'S
WOOING.
The
sun
touched
morning;
The
morning
was
happy,
Thought
he
would
stay,
And
life
was
spring.
She
felt
high,
—
A
light
thing;
For
her,
a
holiday!
Meanwhile,
her
king
Moved
slow
in
the
orchards
His
shiny
clothes,
Leaving
a
need,
—
The
want
of
crowns!
The
morning
moved,
Looked
for
her
crown,
—
Her
bare
forehead
Was
her
only
one.
