Poemas de Emily Dickinson, Tres Series, Completo
Colección 6, Poema 6
VI.
The
way
I
read
a
letter
is
this:
First
I
lock
the
door,
And
push
it
with
my
fingers
next,
To
make
sure
it's
safe.
Then
I
go
far
away
To
avoid
a
knock;
Then
take
my
little
letter
out
And
softly
open
it.
Then,
looking
closely
at
the
wall,
And
closely
at
the
floor,
To
make
sure
no
mouse
Is
sneaking
there,
I
read
how
much
I
am
To
—
no
one
you
know!
And
sigh
for
lack
of
heaven,
—
but
not
The
heaven
others
talk
about.
