III.
Your
wealth
taught
me
poverty.
I
felt
rich,
With
small
treasures,
like
girls
boast,
Until
you
showed
me
more.
You
moved
your
lands
To
another
place;
And
I
valued
poverty,
For
life
with
you.
I
know
little
of
mines,
Just
names
of
gems,
Colors
of
common
stones;
And
few
crowns.
So
much
that,
if
I
met
a
queen,
Her
glory
I'd
know:
But
this
must
be
a
different
wealth,
To
miss
it
makes
one
poor.
I'm
sure
it's
like
India
all
day
To
those
who
see
you
Without
limits,
without
blame,
—
If
only
I
could
be
the
Jew!
I'm
sure
it's
like
Golconda,
Beyond
what
I
can
dream,
—
To
have
your
smile
each
day,
Better
than
a
gem!
At
least,
it
comforts
me
to
know
There
is
a
gold,
Though
I
see
it
just
in
time
To
know
it's
far
away!
It's
a
distant
treasure
to
guess,
And
value
the
pearl
That
slipped
through
my
fingers
While
I
was
just
a
girl!
