Colección 11, Poema 3
III.
A
light
exists
in
spring
Absent
throughout
the
year
At
any
other
time.
When
March
barely
arrives
A
hue
spreads
across
Lonely
hills
that
science
cannot
grasp,
But
human
nature
perceives.
It
waits
upon
the
lawn;
It
outlines
the
furthest
tree
On
the
most
distant
slope
we
know;
It
almost
speaks
to
me.
Then,
as
horizons
shift,
Or
noons
fade
away,
Without
a
sound's
formula,
It
departs,
and
we
remain:
A
sense
of
loss
Affecting
our
contentment,
As
if
commerce
had
suddenly
intruded
Upon
a
sacred
rite.
