Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Speckled Band
Capítulo 8, Página 2
"I
am
not
cold,"
said
the
woman
softly.
She
moved
to
the
fire.
"What
is
it,
then?"
Holmes
asked.
"It
is
fear,
Mr.
Holmes.
I
am
very
scared."
She
lifted
her
veil.
Her
face
was
grey
and
tired.
Her
eyes
were
like
a
scared
animal.
She
looked
about
thirty,
but
her
hair
was
grey.
Holmes
looked
at
her
quickly.
"Do
not
be
afraid,"
he
said
kindly.
"We
will
help
you.
You
came
by
train
today,
I
see."
"You
know
me?"
she
asked.
"No,
but
I
see
a
train
ticket
in
your
glove.
You
left
early
and
had
a
long
drive
before
the
train."
The
lady
looked
at
Holmes
with
surprise.
"No
mystery,"
Holmes
smiled.
"Your
jacket
has
mud
spots.
Only
a
dog-cart
makes
those
marks,
and
only
if
you
sit
on
the
left."
