Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
A Scandal in Bohemia
Capítulo 1, Página 32
"I
owe
you
a
lot.
Please
tell
me
how
I
can
reward
you.
This
ring—"
He
took
an
emerald
snake
ring
from
his
finger
and
held
it
out.
"Your
Majesty
has
something
I
value
even
more,"
said
Holmes.
"Just
name
it."
"This
photograph!"
The
King
looked
at
him
in
surprise.
"Irene’s
photograph!"
he
cried.
"Certainly,
if
you
want
it."
"I
thank
your
Majesty.
Then
there
is
nothing
more
to
do.
I
wish
you
a
very
good
morning."
He
bowed
and
turned
away,
not
noticing
the
King's
outstretched
hand,
and
we
left
together
for
his
chambers.
That
was
how
a
big
scandal
almost
hurt
the
kingdom
of
Bohemia,
and
how
Mr.
Sherlock
Holmes's
best
plans
were
beaten
by
a
woman's
cleverness.
He
often
joked
about
smart
women,
but
I
have
not
heard
him
do
that
lately.
When
he
talks
about
Irene
Adler,
or
when
he
looks
at
her
photograph,
he
always
calls
her
the
woman
with
respect.
