Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Copper Beeches
Capítulo 12, Página 12
"Then
check
it."
"There
is
a
train
at
half-past
nine,"
I
said,
looking
at
Bradshaw.
"It
arrives
in
Winchester
at
eleven."
"That
will
work
well.
I
should
delay
my
chemical
work,
as
we
need
to
be
ready
in
the
morning."
By
eleven
o'clock
the
next
day,
we
were
on
our
way
to
the
old
English
city.
Holmes
read
the
morning
papers,
but
after
we
passed
the
Hampshire
border,
he
put
them
down
and
looked
at
the
scenery.
It
was
a
perfect
spring
day
with
a
blue
sky
and
white
clouds.
The
sun
shone
brightly,
and
the
air
was
fresh.
The
countryside
had
small
red
and
grey
roofs
among
the
green
trees.
"Isn't
it
fresh
and
beautiful?"
I
said
with
excitement,
happy
to
leave
the
fog
of
Baker
Street.
But
Holmes
shook
his
head
seriously.
"You
know,
Watson,"
he
said,
"my
mind
always
sees
things
related
to
my
work.
You
see
beauty
in
these
houses,
but
I
see
how
isolated
they
are
and
how
crime
can
happen
there."
"Good
heavens!"
I
said.
"Who
would
think
of
crime
in
these
lovely
homes?"
