Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Red-Headed League
Capítulo 2, Página 19
"The
knees
of
his
trousers."
"And
what
did
you
see?"
"What
I
expected."
"Why
did
you
tap
the
pavement?"
"My
dear
doctor,
now
is
the
time
to
watch,
not
talk.
We
are
like
spies
in
enemy
land.
We
know
about
Saxe-Coburg
Square.
Let's
explore
behind
it."
The
road
we
found
after
turning
from
Saxe-Coburg
Square
was
very
different.
It
was
a
main
road
with
lots
of
traffic
going
in
and
out,
and
many
people
walking.
It
was
hard
to
believe
that
this
busy
street
was
next
to
the
quiet
square
we
just
left.
"Let
me
see,"
said
Holmes,
looking
at
the
road.
"I
like
to
know
London
well.
There
is
Mortimer's,
the
tobacconist,
the
newspaper
shop,
the
Coburg
branch
of
the
City
and
Suburban
Bank,
the
Vegetarian
Restaurant,
and
McFarlane’s
carriage
shop.
That
leads
to
the
next
block.
Now,
Doctor,
we
have
done
our
work,
so
let's
play.
A
sandwich
and
a
cup
of
coffee,
then
off
to
the
concert,
where
there
is
no
mystery
to
bother
us."
My
friend
loved
music
very
much.
He
was
not
just
a
good
player
but
also
a
talented
composer.
All
afternoon,
he
sat
in
the
theater,
happy
and
moving
his
fingers
to
the
music.
His
face
was
smiling,
and
his
eyes
looked
dreamy.
He
seemed
very
different
from
Holmes
the
detective,
who
was
usually
sharp
and
focused.
Sometimes,
Holmes
was
calm
and
thoughtful,
but
other
times
he
was
full
of
energy.
I
knew
that
when
he
relaxed
for
days,
he
became
even
more
powerful.
When
he
listened
to
music
at
St.
James’s
Hall,
I
felt
that
trouble
might
come
for
those
he
was
hunting.
