Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Man with the Twisted Lip
Capítulo 6, Página 22
In
town,
early
risers
were
just
looking
out
their
windows
as
we
drove
through
the
streets.
We
crossed
the
river
and
turned
into
Bow
Street.
Sherlock
Holmes
was
known
to
the
police,
and
two
constables
at
the
door
greeted
him.
One
held
the
horse
while
the
other
led
us
inside.
“Who
is
on
duty?”
asked
Holmes.
“Inspector
Bradstreet,
sir.”
“Ah,
Bradstreet,
how
are
you?”
A
tall,
strong
man
with
a
cap
and
jacket
came
down
the
hall.
“I
want
to
talk
with
you,
Bradstreet.”
“Certainly,
Mr.
Holmes.
Come
into
my
room.”
It
was
a
small
office
with
a
big
book
on
the
table
and
a
phone
on
the
wall.
The
inspector
sat
at
his
desk.
“What
can
I
do
for
you,
Mr.
Holmes?”
“I
am
here
about
the
beggar,
Boone—the
one
involved
in
Mr.
Neville
St.
Clair’s
disappearance.”
