Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Man with the Twisted Lip
Capítulo 6, Página 21
“Certainly.”
“Then
get
dressed.
No
one
is
up
yet,
but
I
know
where
the
stable-boy
sleeps,
and
we
will
soon
have
the
trap
ready.”
He
chuckled,
his
eyes
twinkled,
and
he
seemed
different
from
the
serious
thinker
of
the
night
before.
As
I
dressed,
I
looked
at
my
watch.
No
wonder
no
one
was
awake.
It
was
4:25.
I
had
just
finished
when
Holmes
came
back
saying
the
boy
was
getting
the
horse
ready.
“I
want
to
test
a
theory,”
he
said,
putting
on
his
boots.
“I
think,
Watson,
that
you
are
with
one
of
the
biggest
fools
in
Europe.
I
deserve
a
kick
from
here
to
Charing
Cross.
But
I
think
I
have
the
key
to
the
case
now.”
“And
where
is
it?”
I
asked,
smiling.
“In
the
bathroom,”
he
answered.
“Oh,
yes,
I
am
not
joking,”
he
continued,
seeing
my
surprise.
“I
was
there,
took
it
out,
and
now
it’s
in
this
bag.
Come
on,
my
boy,
and
we
will
see
if
it
fits
the
lock.”
We
went
downstairs
quietly
and
out
into
the
bright
morning.
Our
horse
and
trap
were
ready,
with
the
stable-boy
waiting.
We
jumped
in
and
drove
down
the
London
Road.
A
few
carts
were
on
the
road,
bringing
vegetables
to
the
city,
but
the
houses
were
silent
like
a
city
in
a
dream.
“This
has
been
a
strange
case,”
said
Holmes,
making
the
horse
go
faster.
“I
was
as
blind
as
a
mole,
but
it
is
better
to
learn
late
than
never.”
