Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Speckled Band
Capítulo 8, Página 17
"It
seems
so."
"He
is
so
clever.
I
never
feel
safe.
What
will
he
say
when
he
returns?"
"He
must
be
careful
because
someone
cleverer
is
watching
him.
Lock
yourself
in
tonight.
If
he's
violent,
we'll
take
you
to
your
aunt's
at
Harrow.
Now,
let's
use
our
time
well.
Please
show
us
the
rooms
to
examine."
The
building
was
made
of
grey
stone.
It
had
a
high
middle
part
and
two
wings
like
crab
claws.
One
wing
had
broken
windows
covered
with
boards,
and
the
roof
was
falling
down.
The
middle
part
was
not
much
better,
but
the
right
side
was
newer.
The
family
lived
there,
and
smoke
came
from
the
chimneys.
Some
scaffolding
stood
by
the
end
wall,
and
stones
were
broken,
but
no
workers
were
around.
Holmes
walked
on
the
messy
lawn
and
looked
closely
at
the
windows.
"This
is
your
old
room,
the
middle
one
was
your
sister's,
and
the
one
next
to
the
main
building
is
Dr.
Roylott's
room?"
"Yes,
that's
right.
But
I
sleep
in
the
middle
one
now."
"While
they
do
the
changes,
I
see.
But
there
seems
no
rush
to
fix
that
end
wall."
"There
was
no
need.
I
think
it
was
an
excuse
to
move
me."
