Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Copper Beeches
Capítulo 12, Página 12
"Then
check
it."
"There's
a
train
at
half-past
nine,"
I
said,
looking
at
Bradshaw.
"It
arrives
in
Winchester
at
eleven."
"That
will
work
well.
I
should
postpone
my
acetone
analysis,
as
we
need
to
be
ready
in
the
morning."
By
eleven
o'clock
the
next
day,
we
were
on
our
way
to
the
old
English
capital.
Holmes
read
the
morning
papers
during
the
journey
but
put
them
down
after
we
crossed
into
Hampshire.
He
started
to
admire
the
scenery.
It
was
a
perfect
spring
day,
with
a
light
blue
sky
and
small
white
clouds
moving
across.
The
sun
shone
brightly,
and
there
was
a
refreshing
chill
in
the
air,
which
boosted
our
energy.
Across
the
countryside,
small
red
and
grey
roofs
of
farms
peeked
out
from
the
light
green
of
new
leaves.
"Aren't
they
fresh
and
beautiful?"
I
said,
full
of
enthusiasm
after
leaving
the
fogs
of
Baker
Street.
But
Holmes
shook
his
head
seriously.
"You
know,
Watson,"
he
said,
"a
mind
like
mine
sees
everything
related
to
my
work.
You
see
these
scattered
houses
and
think
they're
beautiful.
I
see
them
and
think
of
their
isolation
and
how
easily
crime
could
happen
there."
"Good
heavens!"
I
exclaimed.
"Who
would
think
of
crime
in
these
lovely
old
homes?"
