Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Red-Headed League
Capítulo 2, Página 18
"Then
put
on
your
hat
and
come.
I'm
going
through
the
City
first,
and
we
can
have
lunch
on
the
way.
There's
a
lot
of
German
music
on
the
program,
which
I
prefer
over
Italian
or
French.
It's
introspective,
and
I
want
to
introspect.
Let's
go!"
We
took
the
Underground
to
Aldersgate
and
walked
to
Saxe-Coburg
Square,
where
we
heard
the
strange
story
that
morning.
It
was
a
small,
shabby
place
with
four
lines
of
old
brick
houses
around
a
small,
fenced
area
with
weedy
grass
and
faded
bushes.
A
sign
with
"JABEZ
WILSON"
showed
where
our
red-headed
client
worked.
Holmes
stopped
in
front
of
it,
looking
closely,
then
walked
up
and
down
the
street,
observing
the
houses.
Finally,
he
returned
to
the
pawnbroker's,
tapped
the
pavement
with
his
stick,
and
knocked
on
the
door.
A
clean-shaven
young
man
opened
it
and
invited
him
in.
"Thank
you,"
said
Holmes,
"I
just
wanted
to
ask
how
to
get
to
the
Strand
from
here."
"Third
right,
fourth
left,"
answered
the
assistant
quickly,
closing
the
door.
"Smart
fellow,
that,"
said
Holmes
as
we
walked
away.
"I
think
he's
the
fourth
smartest
man
in
London,
and
for
daring,
he
might
be
third.
I've
known
something
about
him
before."
"Clearly,"
I
said,
"Mr.
Wilson's
assistant
is
important
in
this
Red-headed
League
mystery.
You
asked
for
directions
just
to
see
him,
didn't
you?"
"Not
him."
"What
then?"
