Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Man with the Twisted Lip
Capítulo 6, Página 24
"Would
you?
That's
easy.
Come
this
way.
You
can
leave
your
bag."
"No,
I'll
take
it
with
me."
"Very
good.
Please
come
this
way,"
he
said.
He
led
us
down
a
hallway,
opened
a
barred
door,
went
down
a
winding
staircase,
and
brought
us
to
a
white
corridor
with
doors
on
each
side.
"The
third
on
the
right
is
his,"
said
the
inspector.
"Here
it
is!"
He
quietly
slid
back
a
panel
at
the
top
of
the
door
and
looked
through.
"He's
asleep,"
he
said.
"You
can
see
him
clearly."
We
both
looked
through
the
grating.
The
prisoner
lay
facing
us,
in
a
deep
sleep,
breathing
slowly
and
heavily.
He
was
a
medium-sized
man,
dressed
roughly,
with
a
colored
shirt
showing
through
a
tear
in
his
worn
coat.
As
the
inspector
mentioned,
he
was
very
dirty,
but
the
dirt
couldn't
hide
his
ugly
face.
A
wide
scar
ran
from
his
eye
to
his
chin,
pulling
up
one
side
of
his
upper
lip
and
showing
three
teeth
in
a
constant
snarl.
Bright
red
hair
grew
low
over
his
eyes
and
forehead.
"He's
a
beauty,
isn't
he?"
said
the
inspector.
"He
certainly
needs
a
wash,"
said
Holmes.
"I
thought
he
might,
so
I
brought
the
tools
with
me."
He
opened
the
Gladstone
bag
and,
to
my
surprise,
took
out
a
large
bath
sponge.
