Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle
Capítulo 7, Página 14
"Well,
I
got
two
dozen
from
a
salesman
in
Covent
Garden."
"Really?
I
know
some
of
them.
Which
one?"
"Breckinridge
is
his
name."
"Ah!
I
don't
know
him.
Well,
here's
to
your
good
health,
landlord,
and
may
your
house
prosper.
Goodnight."
"Now
for
Mr.
Breckinridge,"
he
said,
fastening
his
coat
as
we
stepped
into
the
cold
air.
"Remember,
Watson,
we
have
a
goose
at
one
end
of
this
chain,
but
at
the
other
end
is
a
man
who
might
get
seven
years
in
prison
unless
we
prove
he's
innocent.
Maybe
our
search
will
show
he's
guilty,
but
we
have
a
lead
the
police
missed,
and
a
lucky
chance
gave
it
to
us.
Let's
follow
it
to
the
end.
Face
south,
then,
and
let's
move
quickly!"
We
crossed
Holborn,
went
down
Endell
Street,
and
through
a
maze
of
alleys
to
Covent
Garden
Market.
One
of
the
largest
stalls
had
the
name
Breckinridge
on
it.
The
owner,
a
man
who
looked
like
he
loved
horses,
with
a
sharp
face
and
neat
side-whiskers,
was
helping
a
boy
close
up
the
stall.
"Good
evening.
It's
a
cold
night,"
said
Holmes.
The
salesman
nodded,
giving
Holmes
a
questioning
look.
