Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
A Scandal in Bohemia
Capítulo 1, Página 32
"I
owe
you
a
great
deal.
Please
tell
me
how
I
can
reward
you.
This
ring—"
He
slipped
an
emerald
snake
ring
from
his
finger
and
held
it
out
on
his
palm.
"Your
Majesty
has
something
I
would
value
even
more,"
said
Holmes.
"You
have
but
to
name
it."
"This
photograph!"
The
King
stared
at
him
in
amazement.
"Irene’s
photograph!"
he
exclaimed.
"Certainly,
if
you
wish
it."
"I
thank
your
Majesty.
Then
there
is
nothing
more
to
be
done
in
this
matter.
I
have
the
honor
to
wish
you
a
very
good
morning."
He
bowed,
and,
turning
away
without
noticing
the
hand
the
King
extended,
he
set
off
with
me
for
his
chambers.
That
was
how
a
major
scandal
almost
impacted
the
kingdom
of
Bohemia,
and
how
Mr.
Sherlock
Holmes's
best
strategies
were
outsmarted
by
a
woman's
intelligence.
He
often
joked
about
the
cleverness
of
women,
but
I
haven't
heard
him
do
that
recently.
Whenever
he
mentions
Irene
Adler
or
talks
about
her
photograph,
he
always
calls
her
with
respect:
the
woman.
