Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet
Capítulo 11, Página 18
"And
he's
a
man
with
a
wooden
leg?"
A
look
of
fear
appeared
in
the
young
lady's
expressive
black
eyes.
"Why,
you
seem
like
a
magician,"
she
said.
"How
do
you
know
that?"
She
smiled,
but
there
was
no
smile
on
Holmes'
thin,
focused
face.
"I'd
like
to
go
upstairs
now,"
he
said.
"I
might
want
to
look
around
the
outside
of
the
house
again.
Perhaps
I
should
check
the
lower
windows
before
I
go
up."
He
quickly
walked
from
one
to
the
other,
stopping
only
at
the
large
one
that
faced
the
stable
lane
from
the
hall.
He
opened
it
and
carefully
examined
the
sill
with
his
powerful
magnifying
lens.
"Now
let's
go
upstairs,"
he
said
finally.
The
banker's
dressing
room
was
a
simple
little
room
with
a
grey
carpet,
a
large
bureau,
and
a
long
mirror.
Holmes
went
to
the
bureau
first
and
looked
closely
at
the
lock.
"Which
key
was
used
to
open
it?"
he
asked.
"The
one
my
son
pointed
out—the
cupboard
key
from
the
lumber-room."
"Do
you
have
it
here?"
