Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Copper Beeches
Capítulo 12, Página 12
"Then
check
the
schedule."
"There's
a
train
at
half-past
nine,"
I
said,
looking
at
my
Bradshaw.
"It
arrives
in
Winchester
at
11."
"That
will
do
nicely.
Perhaps
I
should
postpone
my
analysis
of
the
acetones,
as
we
may
need
to
be
at
our
best
in
the
morning."
By
eleven
o'clock
the
next
day,
we
were
well
on
our
way
to
the
old
English
capital.
Holmes
had
been
absorbed
in
the
morning
papers,
but
after
we
crossed
into
Hampshire,
he
put
them
down
and
began
to
admire
the
scenery.
It
was
a
perfect
spring
day,
with
a
light
blue
sky
and
small
white
clouds
drifting
from
west
to
east.
The
sun
shone
brightly,
yet
there
was
a
refreshing
chill
in
the
air
that
boosted
one's
energy.
Across
the
countryside,
towards
the
rolling
hills
around
Aldershot,
small
red
and
grey
farm
roofs
peeked
out
from
the
fresh
green
leaves.
"Aren't
they
fresh
and
beautiful?"
I
exclaimed,
full
of
enthusiasm
after
leaving
the
fogs
of
Baker
Street.
But
Holmes
shook
his
head
seriously.
"You
know,
Watson,"
he
said,
"one
curse
of
a
mind
like
mine
is
that
I
must
see
everything
in
relation
to
my
own
field.
You
look
at
these
scattered
houses
and
see
beauty.
I
look
at
them
and
think
only
of
their
isolation
and
the
ease
with
which
crime
could
happen
there."
"Good
heavens!"
I
exclaimed.
"Who
would
associate
crime
with
these
charming
old
homes?"
