Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Red-Headed League
Capítulo 2, Página 25
“It’s
all
clear,”
he
whispered.
“Do
you
have
the
chisel
and
bags?
Jump,
Archie,
jump,
and
I’ll
take
the
blame!”
Holmes
sprang
out
and
grabbed
the
intruder
by
the
collar.
The
other
man
dove
back
into
the
hole,
and
I
heard
the
sound
of
ripping
cloth
as
Jones
grabbed
at
his
coat.
The
light
flashed
on
a
revolver,
but
Holmes
struck
the
man’s
wrist
with
his
stick,
and
the
gun
hit
the
floor.
“It’s
no
use,
John
Clay,”
said
Holmes
calmly.
“You
have
no
chance.”
“I
see,”
replied
Clay
coolly.
“I
think
my
partner
got
away,
though
I
see
you
got
his
coat-tails.”
“Three
men
are
waiting
for
him
at
the
door,”
said
Holmes.
“Oh,
really?
You’ve
done
a
thorough
job.
I
must
commend
you.”
“And
I
you,”
Holmes
replied.
“Your
red-headed
scheme
was
quite
clever.”
“You’ll
see
your
partner
soon,”
Jones
said.
“He’s
better
at
climbing
down
holes
than
I
am.
Hold
on
while
I
put
on
the
handcuffs.”
