ferry-boat

it.

around

The
boys
did
not
know
what
the
men
were
doing.
White
smoke
came
from
the
ferry-boat.
The
boom
sound
came
again.
"I
know
now!"
said
Tom.
"Someone
drowned!"
"Yes!"
said
Huck.
"They
did
this
last
summer
when
Bill
drowned.
They
shoot
a
cannon.
It
makes
the
body
come
up.
They
put
quicksilver
in
bread,
and
it
floats
to
the
body."
