Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 2, Página 6
"I
will
be
careful.
Let
me
try.
I
will
give
you
my
apple."
"Well,
no,
Ben.
I
am
scared—"
"I
will
give
you
all
of
it!"
Tom
gave
the
brush
to
Ben.
Tom
looked
sad,
but
he
felt
happy.
Ben
worked
hard
in
the
sun.
Tom
sat
on
a
barrel
in
the
shade.
He
ate
an
apple
and
watched.
More
boys
came.
They
wanted
to
laugh
at
Tom,
but
they
stayed
to
paint.
When
Ben
was
tired,
Tom
traded
with
Billy.
Billy
got
the
brush.
Tom
got
a
kite.
Then
Johnny
came.
He
gave
Tom
a
dead
rat
and
string.
Tom
got
more
and
more
things.
By
the
afternoon,
Tom
had
many
treasures.
He
had
marbles,
a
piece
of
glass,
a
toy
cannon,
a
key,
chalk,
a
glass
stopper,
a
tin
soldier,
tadpoles,
fire-crackers,
a
kitten
with
one
eye,
a
brass
door-knob,
a
dog
collar,
a
knife
handle,
orange-peel,
and
an
old
window
sash.
Tom
had
a
fun
time.
He
had
many
friends.
The
fence
was
very
white.
If
he
had
more
paint,
he
would
take
all
the
boys'
things.
Tom
thought
the
world
was
not
so
bad.
He
found
out
something
important.
If
something
is
hard
to
get,
people
want
it
more.
If
Tom
was
a
wise
man,
he
would
know
this.
Work
is
what
you
must
do.
Play
is
what
you
want
to
do.
Some
men
in
England
drive
coaches
for
fun.
They
pay
money
to
do
it.
If
they
got
paid,
it
would
be
work.
Then
they
would
stop.
Tom
thought
about
his
new
things.
He
was
happy
with
them.
Then
he
went
to
tell
his
friends.
