Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 6, Página 16
The
teacher
was
shocked
and
stared.
The
room
got
quiet.
The
students
wondered
if
Tom
was
crazy.
The
teacher
said:
"You—you
did
what?"
"Stopped
to
talk
with
Huckleberry
Finn."
The
words
were
clear.
"Thomas
Sawyer,
this
is
the
craziest
thing
I
heard.
No
light
punishment
for
this.
Take
off
your
jacket."
The
teacher's
arm
worked
until
tired
and
the
switches
were
used
up.
Then
he
said:
"Now,
sit
with
the
girls!
Let
this
be
a
lesson."
The
room
giggled,
and
Tom
felt
shy.
But
he
was
also
happy
to
sit
by
the
girl.
He
sat
on
the
bench.
The
girl
moved
away
with
a
toss
of
her
head.
The
room
whispered
and
nudged,
but
Tom
sat
still,
arms
on
the
desk,
pretending
to
study.
