Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 9, Página 7
“Yes,
but
five
years
ago
you
drove
me
away.
I
wanted
food.
You
said
I
was
no
good.
Your
father
jailed
me.
Did
you
think
I’d
forget?
Now
you
pay!”
He
threatened
the
doctor.
The
doctor
hit
him,
and
he
fell.
Potter
dropped
his
knife
and
said:
"Stop!
Don't
hit
my
friend!"
Injun
Joe
grabbed
the
doctor.
They
fought
hard,
stepping
on
the
grass.
Injun
Joe
picked
up
a
knife.
He
moved
like
a
cat
around
them.
The
doctor
got
free.
He
hit
Potter
with
a
board.
Potter
fell
down.
Injun
Joe
saw
his
chance.
He
stabbed
the
doctor.
The
doctor
fell
on
Potter.
Blood
covered
Potter.
The
clouds
hid
everything.
Two
scared
boys
ran
away
in
the
dark.
The
moon
came
out
again.
Injun
Joe
stood
over
the
bodies.
The
doctor
made
a
noise,
then
stopped.
The
half-breed
said:
"That
is
done—damn
you."
He
took
things
from
the
body.
He
put
the
knife
in
Potter's
hand.
He
sat
on
the
coffin.
Time
passed.
Potter
moved
and
moaned.
He
held
the
knife,
looked
at
it,
and
dropped
it.
He
sat
up
and
pushed
the
body
away.
He
looked
around.
He
saw
Joe.
"Joe,
what
happened?"
he
said.
"It's
bad,"
said
Joe.
"Why
did
you
do
it?"
